Description
The Witches is one of my favourite books. I absolutely adore it and well, I've drawn the Grand High Witch before and I wanted to again. I wanted to make her mask look really fake and I think I did that. I just love that her real face is described in the book as rotting, it just gives me the best images. I wanted her face to be all moldy and flesh dripping off. I did actually have flesh dropping off but the black of the hair kind of ruined that. Instead of giving her a new outfit I just used the one thats in the book because to me it makes perfect sense... its long and flowy to hide the rest of her gross body.

Both designs are somehow really simple but REALLY creepy. I've seen videos of people who have lost their entire faces to acid, fire, explosions, electric shocks or even angry attacking chimpanzees who look like the face on the left.
